My niece is very interested in this whole political campaign thang, lucky for her - as she is home schooled- she was able to come along today. In between campaign stops she completed her poetry, grammar, history, reading and (in a way) civics lessons. She finished the rest of the day's schooling when we got home.
We headed up through Violet Town to Melbourne University's Dookie Campus expecting to find some students to chat to. It seems they're a studious bunch, they were all in classes! Far more dedicated than I was at uni :P. We bumped into a staff member who offered to put up some flyers on the notice boards in the dormitory areas, for which I'm very grateful.
We then stopped off at the Shepparton East store on our way to Officeworks in Shepparton to print some more flyers and spoke to Ruth who is the Ladies President of the Tatura CFA, she very kindly invited me to speak at one of their future meetings. I'll be giving her a call next week to organise a time.
We continued on to Congupna, stopping at the General Store - we arrived at lunchtime so the staff were too busy to chat. Then, on to Tallygaroopna where I had a quick chat to the gentleman in the post office.
We then headed home as I had to take Mum to a doctor's appointment at Euroa Medical. Then we spent the evening talking education & mental health with old friends from Melbourne whilst trying to convince them to bring their business ideas and investment to Murray. We'll see how that conversation progresses over time...
