Murray Goulburn may have tainted the 'brand' of farming co-operatives, but just because they screwed up in floating on the ASX doesn't mean that co-operatives are dead. As discussed on Landline today, there are many successful models still operating sensibly, right around the country.


A mate of mine is working to set up Hedgerow Farm to allow small producers easier access to land. I'm encouraging him to set up within Murray to ensure our young people can access the processing jobs and/or get a hand up in establishing their own primary production businesses.
