Plastic Bags

During the Federal Election campaign I spent some time in towns like Boort and Pyramid Hill where they've banned plastic bags...

I see an environmental positive, but also a fiscal positive from a local government perspective, given most bags end up in landfill which costs ratepayers money...

Whilst the State Labor government seems to be thinking about a state-wide ban, there's no reason our local communities can't help lead the charge.
