Chasing the MDBP Meetings

I've spent much of the last couple of months running around the countryside, attending the consultations and hearings held by the Productivity Commission and Seftons (on behalf of the Federal Ag Dept.) 10 hearings, in 8 towns across all four basin states and the ACT.
Whilst I've learned a lot, the most striking thing is that - whilst different regions may be seeking different outcomes - virtually everyone who spoke shares the same concerns.
From the Murray mouth to the top of the basin in Dirrinbandi and St George, those present have little trust in the MDBA and the Ag Dept. They also have real concerns with the mismanagement of money, water and the socio-economic impacts of the 450GL.
